Privacy policy
Last updated: 25 August 2026
Soltura (oglingo.com) is operated by Joseph David Loughran Colvin ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use Soltura, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details — your email address and name, collected by our sign-in provider Clerk when you create an account.
- Learning data — the language you are learning, your placement-test answers, your review history, and the messages you exchange with the tutor. This is the core of the product: it is what the spaced-repetition scheduling is built on.
- Usage data — page views, performance timings, errors, and interaction events, collected first-party to keep the service working and improve it.
- Payment data — Stripe processes your payment method, billing address, tax information, invoices, and subscription on our behalf. Soltura does not receive or store your full card details.
How we use your data
We use your data to provide and personalise the service (scheduling your reviews, adapting the tutor to your level), to keep it reliable and secure, and to measure the performance of our advertising. We do not sell personal data.
AI processing
Messages you send to the tutor are routed through OpenRouter to Anthropic, our AI model provider, to generate replies, and spoken audio is generated by ElevenLabs. These providers process data on our behalf to deliver the service.
Cookies and similar technologies
- Essential — cookies set by Clerk to keep you signed in, and browser storage for preferences such as your interface language.
- Advertising measurement — we use the Meta Pixel, which sets cookies (such as
_fbp) to measure whether our ads on Facebook and Instagram lead to sign-ups. Information about your visit may be shared with Meta. See Meta's privacy policy. You can limit this through your browser's cookie settings.
Who we share data with
We share data only with the service providers we need to run Soltura, acting on our behalf:
- Clerk (sign-in and account management)
- OpenRouter (routing of AI requests)
- Anthropic (AI tutor replies)
- ElevenLabs (spoken audio)
- Stripe (payments, subscriptions, tax, and invoices)
- Fly.io (hosting)
- Meta (advertising measurement)
Retention
We keep your learning and account data while your account exists. Deleting your account immediately ends your subscription and deletes the associated learning data, local account record, and saved payment method. Stripe and we may retain transaction, invoice, tax, fraud-prevention, and deletion-request records where required for legal, accounting, dispute, or security purposes.
Your rights
Under applicable data-protection law (including the EU/UK GDPR and Mexico’s data-protection law) you can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, or object to processing. To exercise any of these, email us. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
